PMA News
In my second year we have done a number of firsts ,at least since I have been president

Firstly we attended the BCSC conference in some strength with nearly 150 members proving there is such a thing as a free lunch !
We also took a stand in the showcase jointly with BRC which attracted a considerable amount of interest not only because we had some good freebies on offer but also because there was genuine interest from landlords, developers and new members.
We obtained a great deal of feedback which we are collating and I will share some of that with you today.
A big thank you to all those that responded to the questionnaire at the conference and subsequently via e-mail..   read more

Sub Committee
The Out of Town Sub-Committee

The Out of Town Sub-Committee has been formed to meet the requirements of Retailers occupying space on retail parks, shopping parks and in solus locations out of town.  The focus of the meetings is to get together with other retailers on a regular basis to share concerns and discuss topical issues. We meet around every two months at various locations throughout the Country.  Today's discussion points include proposed development works and retail park refurbishments, environmental and waste recycling proposals, the application of the new RICS service charge code, Insurance costs and health and safey risk assessment surveys, Landlord and Agent management fee structures, contract performance and bulk buying, and spiralling security costs amongst other topics.    read more
